A GREAT day to get married!

Sean and Jessica…it was such a privilege to be a part of your special day.  You two have such a sweet love and friendship and it showed in all the details.

Thanks to all the amazing vendors:

And a huge thank you to my dear friend Janelle Zeller for helping capture this day xoxo

The sweet note that Sean sent over to Jessica as she was getting ready.

I think Jessica had the thickest wedding planning binder I’ve ever seen. :)  And it was filled with great ideas and beautiful stationary…wedding invitations, save the date, and shower invite.

Jessica you are stunning!

The Ladies!!

The Guys!!

Sean and Jessica did not see each other before their ceremony, so this is their first look at one another on their wedding day!

I loved this set of images of Jessica’s Dad joining their hands as he gave her away!

Sean surprised Jessica with a wedding band…Jessica was soooo surprised and excited as you can see!

Congratulation Slawsons!!  Thank you for inviting me to capture your day!  It was amazing!  xoxo

This sweet little kiss…

…turned into biting…then laughing :)

~Brothers~

love this kid sooooo much!

Me to Ashley:  Ok, now pop a hip out.  Brandon:  Like this??

This next set was entirely impromptu.  You two are naturals!

And it just happened that the paloverdes were all in full bloom with their fantastic yellow flowers…which just happened to be Ashley’s color!  Since this tree had dumped a fair amount of blooms on the ground, we had to get them in the shot somehow.  I sorta jokingly said we needed to get up in the tree for the shot and before I knew it, Janelle was making the climb.  Then before Doni knew it, we were handing Janelle Doni’s camera since it was already sporting the lens we needed for the shot.  Do I have the greatest friends in the world or what?!?

Janelle getting the shot:

And the final product!  Janelle and camera both made it down safe and sound.  SCORE!

Ashley put together such beautiful details for the reception!

Lots of dancing, lots of fun…

And even some after dinner entertainment!  Have you seen this game before??  The DJ asks a question and they have to hold up the appropriate duckie in response to who the question best describes- the bride or the groom.  Soooo funny!

And I KNEW these two were going for the SMASH!  That’s just B and Ashley :)

What a cool gift idea right??

And that’s a wrap!  Remember this is just the beginning of sharing a life together.  Really like this Irish blessing, so here it is for you:

May you always have:

Enough happiness to keep you sweet
Enough trials to keep you strong

Enough sorrow to keep you human
Enough hope to keep you happy

Enough failure to keep you humble
Enough success to keep you eager

Enough friends to give you comfort
Enough wealth to meet your needs

Enough enthusiasm to look forward
Enough faith to banish depression

Enough determination to make each
day better than yesterday.

Enough love to pass around.

LOVE YOU BOTH SO MUCH!! xoxo

This is going to be a two part blog post.  That’s because it was my baby brother’s wedding and there’s lots to share.
Ashley…I am so thankful that my brother found you.  You are one of the most joy filled and generous people I know, always thinking of others.  The Lord made you beautiful on the outside and the person you are on the inside just makes you even more gorgeous.   One of my favorite parts of your wedding day was photographing you opening/reading Brandon’s letter to you.  The images below are a glimpse into that sweet moment…Ashley started crying, then I started crying, then I had to remember to keep snappin- ha!  His words to you were beautiful and  loving and the kind of words you reserve for the person that means the most to you in the world.  I think he kinda likes ya! :)  I’m so grateful to have another sister and to know that you will be on this journey through life with my brother.  Love you sis!

~Sisters~

If there’s one word that springs to my mind when I think of my brother it’s loyal. He has known all of these guys since high school/college and one of them (hi Vijay!) since he was 2.  Thanks Janelle and Doni for getting some getting such great shots of these handsome guys!

ah man their first look was soooo awesome!  Brandon’s reaction was so priceless.  Can’t really blame him though…Ashley looked amazing!  Had to post the play-by-play.  (that’s my love bug making sure her Auntie’s dress didn’t get dirty)

This first one was sorta just a test shot, but my little stinker bug in front there looked too funny not to share :)

Brandon, I don’t think I’ve ever seen you smile so big, so much.  You walked so confidently down that aisle to wait for your bride and lit up the second she was in view.  You are a blessed man to have Ashley and she is blessed to have you.

Alright, part II coming up tomorrow!
Love you guys! xoxo
