Beautiful boys…
March 18, 2009Have you ever seen that movie Mr. Holland’s Opus? Great movie! There’s a scene in that movie where Mr. Holland sings John Lennon’s “Beautiful Boy” to his grown son. The first time I saw it, I was all choked up during that scene! … yes, I am one of those people that really gets sucked into the characters of a movie I’m watching and gets all emotional at the mushy scenes (insert: hubby rolling his eyes
If you have never seen the movie, here’s the clip i found on YouTube so you can sorta see what I’m talking about. You really need to see the whole movie to get the full emotion of it.
Anyways, here I am now with two precious, beautiful boys of my own. There’s just something about little boys, all their sounds (both my boys make “vrrrrrrmmmmm” sounds when maneuvering their toy cars and trucks around), fascinations with all things dirty, and their constant energy (wish i could bottle some of it up and sprinkle it in my coffee in the morning… the caffeine just doesn’t seem to do it some days!
They turned one in January and due to busy schedules, colds, and flus, I just got around to taking their “official” one year photos. Both the boys are nicknamed “Buddy”… you know how you go through all your kids names before you get the one you meant to say? Well, it’s even worse when you have twins that look so much alike! So big sister Shay has started calling them “Baby Buddies”. So, on to the photos of our Baby Buddies… (Caleb is in yellow, Chase in orange)

Just love those little stinky feet… yes, they stink… already…I’m so afraid of what my house is going to smell like in the teenage years!

They were sooooo excited to get to play in the dirt! Pure joy!

So Caleb is shouting as loud as he can and Chase is throwing a rock (see it mid-air)… this is so my boys!

Chase thought the red dirt looked like some kind of yummy treat that mommy might forbid him to have… therefore, “I must have a taste!”

Boy, do you look like your Daddy in this one little guy… minus the blonde hair

And while I’m at it, I thought I should include some of Shay…

She’s so fun to have around… getting to that preschool age and wanting to share everything her little mind has absorbed!
